Hilda Durkin

Hilda Durkin designed several patterns for Warner & Sons in the 1950s. Her bold and bright designs often referenced classical literature. She worked as a freelance designer for many furnishing fabric companies in the 1950s – 1960s including Heals, Liberty & Co. and Edinburgh Weavers. ‘Departure’ was printed in eight different colourways.
