Digital Threads Volunteer & Student Bursaries

To help ensure fair and equal access to the Warner Textile Archive and to support those looking to gain professional experience with us, we are delighted to introduce the Digital Threads Bursary Scheme.

This scheme is designed for volunteers and students undertaking placements who may require financial assistance with accommodation, travel or daily subsistence costs while working with the Archive.

What the Digital Threads Bursary Offers

●      Support for Accommodation or Travel
Up to £50 per day to help cover accommodation or travel expenses.

●      Daily Subsistence Allowance
A £5 per day contribution towards lunch

The bursary aims to remove financial barriers and make participation in the Digital Threads programme accessible to a wider range of applicants. We are grateful for the funding of the Digital Threads Programme that has made this bursary possible.

If you are interested in applying for a Digital Threads Volunteer & Student Bursary, or if your travel or accommodation expenses are expected to exceed £50 per day, please contact robert.rose@bdmt.org.uk in advance, as all requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and additional support may be offered where appropriate.
