Charles Ebel
Charles Ebel (1886-1952) was a textile designer who worked for Warner and sons during the 1910s-1930s. He worked in a studio with William Augustus Ebel. During his time at the company he produced a large number of designs. In 1925 he joined fellow Warner’s in house designers Herbert Woodman, Albert Swindells and Bertrand Whittaker on the trip to the Paris Exhibition. He also spent time designing for Alexander Morton & Co. Notable designs of his include a silk tissue for St Pauls Altar frontal.
