Warner Textile Archive and Anglia Ruskin University “Live Brief”

First year Fashion Design students from Anglia Ruskin University visited the Warner Textile Archive and Braintree Museum to gain inspiration for their “Live Brief” assignment. At the Archive the students were presented with 20 designs from the 1970s including some key designers such as Eddie Squires and Sue Palmer. At Braintree Museum they had the opportunity to visit the Toys & Games exhibition, with plenty of retro inspiration from the same period. Both visits providing the underlying inspiration and research for their “Live Brief” of creating a concept statement, mood boards and a collection of four fashion dresses and five t-shirt graphics to appeal to a high street market.
